Özet
Kültür, inanç ve toplum normlarının aktarımı ve öğretiminde halk edebiyatı geleneğinin ve bu gelenek içerisinde ortaya çıkan ürünlerin işlevleri oldukça önemlidir. Türklerin İslam dinini kabulü ve Anadolu coğrafyasında yayılımı sırasında da halk edebiyatı ürünleri hem Türklere İslam dinini öğretmek hem de Anadolu’nun Türkleşmesine katkı sağlamak için sıklıkla kullanılmıştır. Bu bağlamda, Türkler arasında İslam dinini açıklama, öğretme ve benimsetme amacına yönelik pek çok türde ve konuda halk edebiyatı ürünleri ortaya çıkmıştır. Ortaya çıkan bu türlerden biri de “halk tipi mesnevî”lerdir. Halk tipi mesnevîler genel olarak İslam dinine ait öğretileri, karakterleri, kuralları, konuları ve olayları işleyen mesnevî biçiminde yazılan halk hikâyeleridir. Halk tipi mesnevî geleneği içerisinde ortaya çıkan pek çok ürün bulunmaktadır. Bahsedilen gelenek bağlamında ortaya çıkan ürünlerden biri de “Şahme Destanı”dır. Şahme Destanı, Türk halk edebiyatı alanında yeni yeni incelenmeye başlanan halk tipi mesnevîlerdendir. Bu çalışma içerisinde de Şahme Destanı’nın Paris nüshası incelenmiştir. Makalede ilk olarak söz konusu anlatının bulunduğu yazma eser ve yazma eserdeki bir diğer anlatı olan Ejderha Destanı hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Ardından Şahme Destanı’nın Paris nüshası incelenip anlatının Latin harflerine aktarımı yapılmıştır.
The functions of the folk literature tradition and the products emerging in this tradition are very important in the transfer and teaching of culture, beliefs and social norms. During the acceptance of the religion of İslâm by the Turks and its spread in the Anatolian geography, folk literature products were frequently used both to teach the religion of İslâm to Turks and to contribute to the Turkification of Anatolia. In this context, many types and subjects of folk literature have emerged for the purpose of explaining, teaching and adopting the religion of İslâm among Turks. One of these emerging types is the “folk type mesnevî”. Folk-type mesnevî are generally folk tales written in the form of mesnevî that deal with the teachings, characters, rules, subjects and events of the İslâmic religion. There are many products emerging within the folk-type mesnevî tradition. One of the products that emerged in the context of the mentioned tradition is the “Shahme Epic”. The Shahme Epic is one of the folk-type mesnevîs that has just started to be studied in the field of Turkish folk literature. In this study, the Paris version of the Shahme Epic was examined. In the article, firstly, information is given about the manuscript in which the said narrative is located and the Dragon Epic, which is another narrative in the manuscript. Then, the Paris version of the Shahme Epic was examined and the narrative was transferred to the Latin letters.
